We exist to promote responsible ownership of the breed and and to educate and support owners who share a love of this large working dog. As yet we are not affiliated to the Kennel Club but this is one of our objectives for the near future. We publish a quarterly newsletter "Boovie Newsbytes" which is part colour on A4 paper. This contains articles and stories about all aspects of Bouvier ownership. All our members are welcome to contribute to the newsletter, or to request specific topics they want covered.  We have reciprocal agreements with the Southern California BdeF Club, The New Zealand BdeF Club and the Cactus State BdeF Club (Arizona) about reproducing articles of interest from their publications. We have a similar agreement with Jan Rifkinson about using content from his website which is one of the best, if not the best, Bouvier des Flandres information resource on the net. In addition to the newsletter publication, we hold two fundays a year, one in May in Surrey and one in September in the Preston area (at present the location of the fundays reflects the two largest clusters of membership but is open to review, if this situation changes) As a numerically small breed with owners spread around the UK it is difficult to hold events centrally, which in theory are accessible to everyone, as in practice the turnout is reduced. We also have  Bouvier related merchandise for sale and run a photo competition to produce a calendar which is on sale by October. Finally we are committed to the welfare of the Bouvier des Flandres and promote selective breeding to reduce the incidence of genetic defects and disease.
